Ally Morris and The Travelling Fives - Full Biography

Music has always been a important part in Ally's life. From the age of 13 he taught himself to play guitar and it wasn't long before he formed his first band. he studied A level music where he exceeded in composition and performance grabbing top marks. After a few years of playing in bands playing cover songs Ally started writing his own and formed his band Chester. Chester had some success playing gigs in pubs, clubs and universities around the home counties and London. After about 4 years the band naturally broke apart, rehearsals and gigs were getting tough as the band members live hundred of miles apart. Disappointed with the way that the band had worked out Ally moved down to Eastbourne when he became sure that God wanted him to write a Worship album that sounded like the kind of music that he like listening to, the kind of music that he was formally writing with Chester that sounded raw and live but with lyrics that spoke of the truth and love of Jesus. A two year project began writing and recording which resulted in moving back to Bedford. Together with former school friend Rob (bass), His brother and former band mate, Glynn (drums) talented guitarist Steve, his cousin and former band mate, Jon, and his Fiancé, Rachel (Keys, vocals) he formed 'The Travelling Fives'. Now with the album nearly complete he is looking at ways to get it published and distributed into the shops and onto the live circuit. With it he hope to fulfil the mission that he felt God had given him – To record an album that is musically ground breaking, exciting and respected and with a message that is challenging and honest, that will ask questions, give answers and change lives of both believers and non-believers alike.
Ally also leads worship for his local church in Bedford (rutlandroadchurch.org.uk) and wants to continue to use his gifts to serve and develop in this way.
