I have been involved in Christian music since 1975, firstly with Cliff Bergdahl's YFC band 'Really Free'. I moved to Plymouth in 1976 & Joined forces with Noel Richards in folk/rock band 'Shamgar' before forming 'Against the Tide' with Phil Smith & Robbie Hemes in 1979. Against The Tide lasted about ten years on and off with various line-ups but eventually family, work & Church commitments, not to mention an increasing age gap between us and our potential audience led us to disband. I have spent most of the intervening time leading worship at Saltash Baptist Church & playing the odd solo acoustic gig. Recently I was contacted by Mark Ackland who was looking for a guitarist for his band 'Acacia Grove' so I once again find myself playing rock music after all these years.
