Posted On: 12:08:09 22nd Jun 2008I've heard now from a couple of guys at our church, about their personal experiences of the 'Lakeland Revival' in Florida. It sounds like some very encouraging things are happening in people's lives, through prayer for healing and preaching the gospel. It also struck me that we are at the best vantage point ever, as we attempt to filter reports of awakenings. For we stand at a place in the world's story where we can go to scripture and to a whole wealth of church history and writings as we try to bring a balanced view to the whole proceedings. The important thing is to do it. I am concerned that we take a double-barrelled approach to revival - and enter the experience with both head and heart.
