Then the master told his servant, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.” – Luke 14:23

I can't believe that Shocco is over.

I wanted to come to Shocco to worship
I actually wrote a list of expectations the night before Shocco.

What should I expect for Shocco?
Do I except fellowship?
Making new friends?
I dunno but I love praising God
so worship is a thing to look forward to
I dunno my roommates
but we're gonna have lots of fun
I can't wait for devotions
and bible study
because that's the way I am
I can't wait for Pastor 7
and I'm gonna take alot of notes

I guess
I'm not expecting for anything to happen
except for Shocco Springs to be filled with His Glory
and for some people to trust in Him
I want hope
hope that I won't always be this depressed about life
I'm gonna pray a lot there
gosh
so much to be excited for

God works it out for us

But I learned that there's no expectations for life because God works everything out for us
Pastor 7, our speaker, was just SO amazing

He been through everything. Having no parents, selling drugs, was a big criminal, belonging to a mafia, and more. When he ended up in prison, he eventually landed in solitary confinement. One night he felt God's voice calling to him and accepted him as his Savior. After his release from confinement, he got a bible and instantly could read the bible and also could write. I thought that was just so amazing.

He taught us so much.
Read this word
Obedience
there's a word in the middle of that. What is that?
Right. It's die.
Jesus obeyed God and died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. Do you know if he didn't, what we would end up in?
eternal death

which is forever and forever and forever away from God
but instead Jesus took the fall for us so we would have
eternal life

what is that?
it is forever and ever and ever being with God
Wow

We had altar calls each night.
The first night, Seven asked us to raise our hands we had bitterness, confusion, and something else in our hearts. For those who did, we walked up to him and we were prayed for.
It was amazing.
On Saturday night, he asked us the life changing question.
Do you believe that you are going to Heaven?

If we were not certain, he asked us to raise our hand. Then our counselors would talk with us.
I wasn't certain because I was just plain bad. I have fights with my parents all the time and I think about bad stuff. But Vivian, my counselor told me that it's okay. That I won't remember the bad stuff anymore. I accepted Jesus Christ in November and got baptized in December, but I didn't really obey God. I guess that I'm beginning to change. God is working in me, turning me around so i can serve him. I'm beginning tor reduce my temper and trying to do Daily Devotionals. I also have the courage to lift up my hand(or sometimes hands) during songs of praise. back to Saturday Night After we finished talking, I was certain then. Because Christ loved me so much that he died on the cross for me and saved me from Eternal Death. Pastor 7 asked us if we were ready to cross the line. if we were ready to go out and be his disciples. I was ready, and I crossed the duct tape line. Everyone huddled near him and he prayed for us. I could feel the Holy Spirit with us. We were just broken down by God and he will slowly rebuild us to be a better person.
That's what my status meant. I am not the old Victoria Yang. No. She died on July 5, 2008 at Shocco Springs. I am the new Victoria Yang who was born on July 5 also at Shocco Springs. I am just happy that I don't have any more bad stuff in my mind anymore.
at Shocco, I was doing daily devos after breakfast. This is how it went in the mornings. I woke up, hygiene stuff, raced to eat breakfast, finished breakfast in 5-8 minutes, ran to the Stevens center, sat somewhere outside of the main door thee and did devos, went inside for group devos, then prayer meeting, jumped up and down because worship was about to start, told every1 to shut up and be quiet, WORSHIP!, morning message, piano, and lunch. Yeah, my morning schedule was weird. But I did devos still early.
xDDDD
I used to like a certain boy. but God tells me to not like anyone yet, except to love Him. Because he is Everlasting God (:
Well Worship was great too.
The first night, it wasn't that passionate, except for some few people. The second day, we were okay, but I feel that we did what we saw some other people doing. Like when we see someone do something, we did it too 2 seconds later. But the 3rd night, how can I explain it?
We were just AWESOME.
I could see everyone surrendering to God and worshiping him with are their soul! Ima use Jason as an example. I jsut saw his heart's passion to Him. Valarie's heart was already for him starting Friday night. Who else would be the first person to lift both hands up? Thanks Valarie! You are a great role model!
Let's see for Saturday night after the altar call. During songs like Mighty to Save, I took a quick glance around me.(yes, I know. I shouldn't have done that) Everyone was lifting their hands up and their eyes just showed that they were pouring their hearts out to him.
This is why I said to you guys on Facebook Shocco was AWESOME. And it is AWESOME.
It's like Hosanna's Verse 2:
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Staring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
We were on our knees literally that night.
We will go to the ends of the earth. Where God calls us, we will go. To the world, the lost, the poor and hungry.
I don't know about you, but God is everything that we are needing. He will provide everything. So I will go where he leads me.

My notecard goal was to become a missionary for Christ. But I need to you guys to help me as I take ach small step in leadingg to the big step.

We all need his love toward each other. So I urge you, to show compassion toward everyone, even to that certain someone that you hate. A boy didn't like me previously, but I can see that he's changed. He's grew more kind towards everyone and has grown more in Christ. Furthermore, I think I'm his friend now. Go Kevin!
WHOOOOOOOO!

John 10:27- My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Isaiah 58
1 "Shout it aloud, do not hold back.
Raise your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their rebellion
and to the house of Jacob their sins.

2 For day after day they seek me out;
they seem eager to know my ways,
as if they were a nation that does what is right
and has not forsaken the commands of its God.
They ask me for just decisions
and seem eager for God to come near them.

3 'Why have we fasted,' they say,
'and you have not seen it?
Why have we humbled ourselves,
and you have not noticed?'
"Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please
and exploit all your workers.

4 Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife,
and in striking each other with wicked fists.
You cannot fast as you do today
and expect your voice to be heard on high.

5 Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,
only a day for a man to humble himself?
Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed
and for lying on sackcloth and ashes?
Is that what you call a fast,
a day acceptable to the LORD ?

6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?

7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness [a] will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
"If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

11 The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

13 "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the LORD's holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,

14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,
and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob."
The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

2 Timothy 1:8-10
8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Galatians 2:20-21
20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

And guys, do you have the courage to lift up your hands during worship? It was just amazing how everyone was doing it in Shocco! I'm not forcing you to, but it would be cool if more people did.
