Bootle Meetings - Blog 1: Sunday 27/07/08

My parents went to Lakeland 2 weeks ago. They came back with a real passion and carrying the fire and glory of God. When they came back we planned to have 2 impartation meetings. These we’re amazing and people from all around north Liverpool came. Our church only holds about 100 people tops and it was packed and very sweaty. People came hungry and passionate to see God move.
On both the Sunday and Wednesday night meeting God touched every person we saw salvations and the fire of God hit the building.
I have never seen anything like this in Liverpool before!
I’ve seen it at conferences, I’ve seen it on the TV and we’ve seen some amazing things happen at church and other meetings I’ve been involved in. but this was different.
People we’re hunger for the more of God, we we’re passionate and we we’re desperate.
Last night we had our 3rd meeting and again it was awesome. We had 92 people packed into our little building. The worship was awesome; everyone was so passionate, so hungry and desperate. This is what we’ve been praying for, praying for years! – The Holy Spirit fell and the presence of God was so tangible!
We are continuing to have these meetings at church for the month of august and then in September move to a bigger venue.
I believe that something amazing is happening. People are being stirred up; God is taking many people to new levels and new depths. – People are being saved, healed and delivered
The worship times have been amazing! We have touched heaven and heaven has invaded us! –
Lot’s of criticism is floating around at the moment about the current move God all over the world! Personally I don’t wanna miss it! – I’m desperate to see more, to see more of the glory, see the cloud, see the fire, desperate to see salvation in Bootle, in Liverpool, in the UK and the whole world.
Bootle is a really deprived area, the last 2 months people have been murdered every weekend in Bootle. We need God to come.
God came in mighty power in the 1930’s when thousands upon thousands we’re saved, healed and delivered. I believe that God is pouring out his spirit and I’m so excited to see what he is going to do.
Who knows what will happen?
We have no agenda!
We just want God to be God and his will be done.

 | Ian. It is good to read of all that is happening in your area. If anything, it seems that what is taking place in Florida, is awaking a hunger in many other nations. Long may it continue and may this be a time when the Gospel touches all our communities.........

 | This is great news, Ian. You and your church are among those faithful souls who have worked hard in the north-west over many years. I think of various groups and organisations who have laboured in that region to see God work - often presenting the Gospel in very creative ways - from Roundabout Releases in Liverpool in the 70s, to more recent happenings like Merseyfest. To me, this is part of the 'move of God'. If an awakening is about to break out in the north-west, it's partly due to the investment of people like yourselves and your forefathers of faith, praying and working away. It's great that some are meeting God in Florida. But if we stay tuned to the TV transmissions and webcasts from the States, could we miss something that's been bubbling away for generations here on these islands?
