Victory through the thorns...

I uploaded one of my songs called "The Victory" and included the lyrics below on this page. I wrote it with the following comment in mind. Hope it blesses you.
BH

There are circumstances in our lives that we seem to have little or no control over…internal battles that sometimes take their toll on our physical, emotional and mental well being. Some battles are quickly won, while others remain a constant thorn in our sides. We shouldn't be surprised though, by the thorns, or troubled by them when they come. Do you remember what Jesus said to the apostle Paul regarding them? "My grace is sufficient for you". Of course this doesn't mean that we throw caution to the wind and embrace the thorns. On the contrary, we should pray constantly that we are not overtaken by them while finding reassurance in the knowledge of God's grace over us. Remember this; no one understands the mystery of the thorn until the rose is revealed. BH

The Victory
Bob Hanson

Sometimes I feel a battle raging
Not the kind you see on the daily news
It thunders deep within my heart – and in my soul
And I cry out – I don't want to loose

Chorus…

I want the Lord to win
I want the Lord to have the victory
Of this on going battle inside of me
I want the Lord to win
I want the Lord to have the victory
And set this battle weary captive free

Each day is like a new beginning
But before too long I loose my way
What was solid ground is now sinking sand
And I cry to the Lord my soul do save

Chorus…
Bridge…

Sometimes at night – I lie awake and wonder
What tomorrow has in store for me?
But through it all I know
His love is strong enough to hold me up
Through any sudden storms that blow

Chorus…x2
Tag…

Set me – Set me - Set me free
Set me – Set me - Set me free
Set me – Set me - Set me free
Set me – Set me - Set me free…
