21st April 2008 - Spirit work
One of the books I am reading at the moment (I usually have a few on the go) is 'It's Not About The Coffee' - written by Howard Behar, former President of Starbucks International. I noted a quote the other night that just hit me right between the eyes: 'Most of us have jobs that are too small for our spirit'. I am still convicted by it even now. It reminds me of the scripture that advises us to 'number our days aright'. I want to make sure I am making the most of each day given to me, and not get involved in things that are 'too small' for my spirit. Enlarge my vision, God. I must dream big again.
