Today, I have spent a little more time with Dave Clifton, finishing our new song. It is called - 'The Light that shines (f/l Great is the love). We will have to put a demo together so we can upload it to the WJ site. We did a very rough recording on Dave's Mac but it might be too basic to put on this site. What do you think??

 | Thanks Ryan for your thoughts on this. I guess Dave and I will take a listen to how it sounds and see if we are ready to upload what we have..... Posted by: Noel Richards 07:58:05 16th May 2008 |
 | well, i personally would love to hear it and i believe that this site could be a good resource for feedback. i would post what you have, get feedback from friends (which may give you a different idea about parts of the song) and then you can always remove it and post the new and improved version when its complete. So, my vote is: use the site for feedback and critique... there are lots of great musicians using this site now who could offer some good ideas and feedback. | Anthony - thanks for writing. You raised some good points. I also appreciated your encouragement about the site. Posted by: Noel Richards 17:14:20 15th May 2008 |
 | For me, the decision to submit a resource depends on the purpose I have in mind for it. If I primarily want to entertain, then I would wait until I’ve crafted it to the point where I can’t add anything else to its quality. If I primarily want to encourage, then I offer the best I can at the time I prayerfully submit it. I guess as a worship leader-in-training, I consider myself an encourager more than an entertainer, trying to encourage others by sharing the things that encourage me. I admit, though, that I’d also love to have studio produced songs with me singing and playing bass, and a wonderful group of musicians backing me up! That’s just not a possibility right now – I have much more to learn - so I offer what I can.
Thanks for the wonderful web site, Noel! Posted by: Anthony Ticknor 15:11:16 15th May 2008 |
