We love all different types of versions of the Bible. A few years ago the Lord told us to read the Bible we understand and it's so much easier to read! It's become real life. We love the New Living Translation, The Message and lots of others! Posted by: Owen Hurter 16:10:18 5th Jul 2008
I was brought up on the King James version! Memorised many verses from that; However as I moved on in life and found Scripture available in more contemporary (and meaningful!) language, I started to read a variety of versions. Ever since I was 16 I have read the Bible through from cover to cover - now in my 68th year - countless times! So I read a different version each time and have always enjoyed the freshness of scripture and find the same Holy Spirit who inspired it in the first place is very much able to bring alive the Word - whatever version! I have greatly enjoyed - the Living (and New Living) Bible; the NIV; Good News: and currently am being blessed and inspired by The Message! Thank the Lord that His Word is alive and well and God uses modern language too!!! Peter Posted by: peterjay 04:22:22 3rd Jul 2008
I mainly read NIV but when I am using Bible for study I read NAS. Then when I am working with children I use Good News. I like to look at range of versions, I enjoy reading the Psalms in NKJV. Posted by: prayerful_smiler 11:31:30 28th Jun 2008

Love it. Just bought the Nelsons study bible version in Houston at Lakewood Church Bookshop for $40,about £25. It would have been £40-45 in wesley Owens......

I love to read various versions, but mainly NKJV (Spirit Filled Commentary edition) & NIV. I still love the Living Bible (since the '70's) and also The Message (for another view of certain Scriptures). Posted by: David Fitzgerald 01:57:22 27th Jun 2008
